Where I’ve landed: Thoughts on Unconditional Parenting
Tuesday, 6 May 2014
I’ll admit, I’m the kind of girl who LOVES instant gratification. I might even have to admit most times I feel like I NEED it too.
Waiting makes me anxious. It means I’m not in control. I have to rely on someone else to complete a task when I’d much rather take care of it myself so it could just be done already! Not knowing how something will turn out, or if I’ll get what I was hoping for makes me crazy.
Just last month I had a period of waiting that took it’s toll on me mentally. Read More
I LOVE learning. Seriously. It’s probably why I have a hard time reading fiction…I want to take away something practical or discover something new each time I read. I get excited reading the community education catalog and wish I could still be in school. Yeah, it’s true.
So today I’m linking up with Emily at Chatting at the Sky to shared what I learned this month. Below is a list of random things I learned. Some serious, some not so much. Read More
Apples. They have a special place in my heart.

I would turn it on and want to punch Jillian Michaels in the face. I was so mad at her. I should probably explore a little deeper to find out why I get so angry at workout DVDs, but instead I came up with a new plan.
I hesitate to tell you I’ve started something new because I’ve started new weight loss plans countless times and I’ve always quit.
Except for one time. Read More
Lately I’ve been making more of an effort to stay away from Pinterest and non-productive internet searching. You know, like learning all about how to make and use fleece bedding for guinea pig cages when we don’t even have a guinea pig nor will we be getting one in the near future. What can I say? I love to learn, and it was fascinating. I’ve been cutting back on my Facebook and Instagram stalking scrolling and I’ve removed a huge chunk of blogs from my feed reader.
So, that leaves me with a lot more free time. Read More
Somewhere in my teenage years, I made a highly intelligent observation….
Some people’s wardrobes get stuck in a particular decade.
I’m sure I’m not the only one on earth brilliant enough to figure this out, but that observation made enough of an impression on me that I swore I’d never get stuck. Read More
